Is the Paris Hilton Perfume as Popular as She Is?
Anything with the Paris Hilton name is bound to sell. Paris Hilton eggs, bread and laundry detergent might carve a niche for themselves, so why not something as sensual and trendy as a bottle of perfume? Every singer, artiste, TV star and fashion designer has their name associated with a bottle of perfume, so why not someone whose name is splashed in every magazine in the country?
Two Fragrances for Women
There are three Paris Hilton perfumes launched to date, two for women and one fragrance for men. Paris Hilton for women by Paris Hilton is a fruity and floral scent boasting of a blend of apple, peach, and melon followed by notes of jasmine, lily, and tuberose. The scent closes on soft and sensual notes of sandalwood, oak moss and musk.
It is recommended for casual wear and is available in 1.7 and 3.4 oz. bottles. They cost around $39 and $49 respectively. The packaging of the smaller size is a plain pink box with her signature on it whereas the larger size has a picture of the hotel heiress too.
This is a good scent to give younger girls who have graduated college or for their 21st birthday. Due to the fact that it is floral and fruity, it is recommended for day wear.
Just Me by Paris Hilton is another perfume launched by the diva and follows on the same cylindrical bottle shape of its predecessor. It begins with notes of raspberry and pink peppercorn followed by mid notes of violet, lily of the valley, freesia, rose, and ylang ylang. The scent closes on base notes of vanilla, skin musk and sandalwood. The price of this fragrance is in the exact same range as the Paris Hilton for women perfume.
One for Men
Although men do not technically wear perfume, Paris Hilton has Cologne for men that she introduced in 2004. This is a clean and sensual scent featuring notes of lemon, grapefruit, pink peppercorn and musk. It is masculine, yet sophisticated and also features hints of fig leaf, green mango, juniper and basil as well as cedarwood and amber. Paris Hilton Cologne is recommended for daytime wear and is in the same price range as the feminine counter parts. The bottle and packaging of this fragrance is very similar to the Paris Hilton for women perfume just changing the hot pink to an electric blue which is too stereotypical for boy and girl.
Although it is difficult to estimate the popularity of the Paris Hilton perfume line, there is no doubt that there will be buyers of her fragrance, cheese, eggs and milk until she entertains us in one way or the other.
